X'mas Pot Luck @ 22.12.2008

We had pot luck lunch today :) Some bring their home cook food and for those who had no time for cooking also chip in by buying. Feel so warm as you can see all the efforts put in to make it a success and also the sharing and giving spirit.
The food is nice, the environment warm and loving. Everyone had a great time.
Merry Christmas to all and may you have a good year ahead ... HOHOHO

Raining Season

It's raining season again...
Heavy rain in the morning made people feel hard to wake up to start their day in an energetic way...
Raining is a good excuse for us to WFH (work from home) haha...
Raining is also a good excuse for you to reject all the appointment outside... (aiy.. heavy rain, sien dee... dun feel like going out...)
Raining is also a good excuse for people to take long long hours nap... (raining day, no place can go, cold weather, its a good time to sleep)

Anyway... I still think human nature is like to take everything to be an excuse for themselves... the poor raining day is one of the frequent way to be used as an excuse... I feel so sorry to the rain... could you forgive us and stop raining? haha....

Have You TODAI Today?

This is one of the recommended restaurant to you when travel to US if you are a Japanese food lover just like us... :)

It is a buffet style and less than USD30/person. You can eat all you can, eat until you drop and eat again... They have different variety of sushi and some of the "sushi maki" already localize.. How to say it has been localized? hmm... have you ever seen a deep fried "sushi maki" with a lot of mayonnaise topping? Other than sushi, they have teriyaki, sukiyaki, tenpura, cold plate, soup, noodles & not forget the tasty yummy dessert....

It is a good deal, and if you are the birthday girl/boy, you will get a free meal on your birthday when you visit "TODAI".

Not bad huh... see our face you will know how happy and satisfied we are...

Rating: 9/10 (High Score)

Our 1st Community Work @ Intel

This is our 1st community work @ Cheshire Home for the Disabled and Needy. It was the 1st quarterly team building we joined the CCAP GAR Solutions and ECAP HIP, FIS and Flex Services team together to do the community work. It was a warm, memorable and meaningful community team building I ever had since I joined Intel.

See, inside the photos, there are 3 pretty young ladies helping them to cut/tear the clothes (which sponsored by those factory ~ e.g. Sony, Flexonic & etc) in order for them to use those clothes for handicraft.

It was tired, but everyone went home with warm heart and smiley face...even it was the raining day, we felt the sunshine in our heart. :)

Indian food.. yummy!

Our yummy lunch at Palace de India at Queensbay. We ordered nice kashmiri nan (recommended!) and potato nan. Aiya, i forgot all the "official" names for the food liao.

Ching Woon's iced lemon tea looks so elegant next to my cup of teh tarik.

And our main dishes of the day ... Lisa's fav - cheese blocks in curry - and chicken curry.

Overall rating : 8/10 :)

Wish Tree :)

I just get my photos downloaded to my laptop, and found there are some nice photos which I captured during this year Chinese New Year in one Penang temple.
This is the large human-made cherry blossom tree and fully hang with wishes by the prayers. This was the 1st time I seen people use the cherry blossom tree as a wish tree, it was such a new and creative idea. :)
New year, new wishes and new hope to everyone... Cheers!!

Farewell ~ Teik Lee

Its our 1st farewell to our finance team mate after November 2006 (Kok Tiong left)...

This is a mix feeling, as we have been working together for few years and attended couple times of team building, IT Annual Dinner & etc, and now he is leaving... :(
As usual, we have a farewell lunch BUT BUT this time is more different as we combined Teik Lee's birthday, farewell and also the team Chinese New Year gathering all together in one... (hmm, just like the Nescafe 3 in 1, concentrated and tasteful)

We went for 118 restaurant, which served very nice Chinese crusine..I believed he likes it too... :) and of course, not forget about the birthday gift.
Many thanks to Teik Lee for his contribution towards the PG finance team... and thanks for the "Ang Pao" too... We wish him all the best in his future undertaking, also wish him and his family with lots of health and happiness...take care and goodbye to Teik Lee...you will be missed by everyone of us in Finance team.

Here Comes A Brand New Year!!

HAPPY GOLDEN RAT YEAR 2008!!

Its a brand new year for FIS Finance team, for everyone of us, and also for the whole world too!!

Check out those photos, it is nice huh... We have our Finance wish tree (many thanks to Ivan for contributing his tree) to write down our new year wishes and hang our wishes up there (poor tree - as we have too many wishes in our mind).

This year, hmm... we tried to make it more happening with lots of decoration, as you can see, we have lots of cherry blossoms, golden rat, lanterns & etc... This is because we felt that we are start missing the Chinese New Year feeling after we stepped into the society...and YES... this year, we are going to grab the feeling back.. :)

Too bad this year Intel PG GPTW team don't have any new year decoration competition, else I would said the PG Finance team would get the "CHAMPION"... Yes... anyhow, we still enjoyed the process in making our Intel home --> our cubicles more comfortable and matching with the new GOLDEN RAT YEAR 2008!

Last but not least, I have to wish everyone who check out this blog many health & wealth in this year, a year older a year wiser, a great oppurtinity in carrer and life and not to forget to live happily and love yourself more in 2008!!..

What I did over New Year holiday

Over the long New Year holiday, I spent part of my time doing one very important project. That is to build my home PC :)

This mini monster is equipped with Quad Core (Surely Intel), 2GB of DDR2 800mhz, and quite a high end NVidia 8800 GT display card. The Gigabyte motherboard even come with a RAID controller which i could use in the future.

Enough words. Lets see some picture. Although is not a super outstanding chassis, but is definately an eye candy with the blue led turned on :)
